The SKINCARE journey can sometimes seem neverending. There’s four seasons out of the year and in combination with the elements, our skin can be fickle at best. What I’ve found is that the women I come across who have the most radiant skin, have a consistent regimen that they use to care for their skin. They also consider skincare products to be an INVESTMENT. They also regularly visit an esthetician to get facials, dermaplaning, peels, and more. I didn’t understand how much our skin endures until watching spa videos. Trust me, skincare maintenance is vital the glow of your skin. With that being said, I’m excited to share what’s in my skincare cabinet and what I use to pamper my face daily.
CLEANSING OIL
is CLINICAL Cleansing Complex
A good cleanser is hard to find. That is, until I came across the is CLINICAL Cleansing Complex. I wanted something that really feels like it’s getting to the root of my skin. Cleansers set the tone for everything else you intend to do to it. So choosing one that the right antioxidants is important. Get it HERE.
Tracy Hudson Take it All Off Cleanser
After seeing how amazing Tracy Hudson’s products were working on others, I decided to buy the full kit which included cleanser, sunscreen, and moisturizer. Each product is amazing in it’s own right. I love that the Take It All Off Cleanser does just what it promises – to TAKE IT OFF. The gunk. The makeup. The dirt. All of it. And my skin feels amazing after this first step. Get it HERE.
EXFOLIATION
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
Dermalogica is fast becoming my favorite skincare brand after receiving a sample as a birthday reward. That was all it took. So, the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is perfect for me because I tend to get clogged pores which adds a bit of texture to the skin (ya know those pesky small bumps all over the t-zone). Anyway, exfoliation should be part of everyone’s skincare routine. Some people require heavy exfoliants for deeper issues, but for a light but effective scrub, this daily microfoliant fits the bill for me. I highly recommend it. Even if you get the smaller size first (only $15), it will be well worth the investment. Get it HERE.
TONING
Heritage Store Rose Petals Rosewater Facial Toner
I’ve had my fair share of toners. We all know the ones I’m talking about lol. However, most never fail to either do nothing, leave the skin with breakouts, break up makeup, or leave a greasy residue. No one has time for that nonsense! Enter this heavenly toner. The Heritage Store Rose Petals Rosewater Facial Toner came through at the right time! I was a bit hesitant because I didn’t know how my skin would react to rosewater. But I love it! It is so refreshing and just merges well into the skin. Get it HERE.
SPOT TREATMENT & EYES
Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift
The only time I’d ever pay attention to my under-eye would be when I was applying concealer. But paying more attention to skincare specialists clued me in to the fact that the space under the eye need TLC as well. Enter the Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift . Talk about a game changer!! This is a must have for my daily skincare routine. Think about how puffy we get in the morning time (especially if there is lack of sleep). Trust me, this is definitely a product you want in your skincare bag. Get it HERE.
SUN SCREEN
Tracy Hudson Protect Me Sunscreen
It goes without saying that our skin needs a level of protection from the sun. I purchased this sunscreen after an IG friend recommended it. Her skin is nothing short of flawless so I was immediately intrigued. I was also elated to see that this was a woman owned company. So, after consulting with her via DM, I immediately went to the website and purchased the Protect Me Sunscreen by Tracy Hudson. I learned so much by going to Tracy’s IG page. She’s taken care of the skin of many well known celebrities. Once I tried the Protect Me Sunscreen, I knew it was a keeper and that my skin was grateful. Get it HERE.
MOISTURIZER
Paula’s Choice Replenishing Moisturizer
There are times I felt that my search for the perfect moisturizer would never end. Well I’m happy to say that I have two at my fingertips! The first is this Paula’s Choice Replenishing Moisturizer . So basically think La Mer, but way less expensive. That is what this moisturizer is giving me. I have normal to dry skin that can also be sensitive. So moisture is a must for my skin. Also, I don’t like greasy residue and this has to gel well on the days I wear makeup. The price point for this is unbelievable and I encourage anyone to try Paula’s Choice products. Get this amazing product HERE.
SPOT TREATMENT
Paula’s Choice CLINICAL Triple Action Dark Spot Eraser
If you are melanin rich like I am, then hyperpigmentation is a constant struggle for your skin. If you are a lighter complexion and are prone to dark spots, then that is also a skincare headache. There are so many different creams out there but it all comes down to ethics with me. I love the Paul’s Choice brand so I was elated to find this baby, which includes a small percentage of hydroquinone. The Paula’s Choice CLINICAL Triple-Action Dark Spot Eraser is easily the MVP in my skincare routine. A little goes a long way and you WILL see results. Get it HERE.
CALMING MISTS
Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist
I love to find multiple uses for things. Enter the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. Not only can I use this to simply freshen my skin, but I can also use it if I decided to apply makeup. I’ve been a long time fan of the Tatcha brand. While it is certainly a bit pricey, they do sell a few miniature versions of their products – which is both reasonable and gives someone a chance to try it out. Get it HERE.
